New Zealand's men's cricket team is set for a packed home summer in 2025-26, hosting powerhouse nations such as Australia, England, West Indies, and South Africa. According to NZC's schedule release, the White Ferns will also participate in a series of white-ball matches against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The action begins with a three-match T20I series against Australia, starting on October 1st. Following this, England will tour for a series of three T20Is, commencing on October 18th, and three ODIs, starting October 26th.
West Indies are scheduled for an extensive tour that includes five T20Is starting November 5th, three ODIs from November 16th, and three Test matches, with the first Test beginning on December 6th.
For the New Zealand women's team, after their involvement in the ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka, they will engage in 14 white-ball games at home, starting early the following year.
The White Ferns will host Zimbabwe for the first time, with a three-match T20I series commencing on February 25th, followed by a three-match ODI series, which is part of the next ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, starting March 5th.
A five-match T20I series against South Africa will feature double-headers alongside the men's matches from March 15th to 25th. The White Ferns will also play three ODIs against the Proteas Women between March 29th and April 4th.
NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink highlighted the diversity of opponents and the significance of hosting Zimbabwe for their first-ever series against New Zealand women. He emphasized the unique opportunity for fans to witness top-tier cricket with doubleheaders against South Africa.
Weenink added, "We're thrilled to build this exciting home summer around the ICC Men's T20 World Cup and on the back of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, giving our players a chance to shine on the global stage as well as at home in front of their own fans. We've seen fantastic crowds across the country over the past few seasons and are looking forward to that continuing this summer given the strength of the schedule."
Pace bowler Kyle Jamieson described the upcoming season as a "marquee summer," noting that the high level of competition will constantly test the team. He expressed excitement for another three-Test series at home and hoped for strong fan support.
