Keshav Maharaj, the South African spinner, has been ruled out of the remaining two matches of the ongoing T20I series against England, Cricket South Africa announced on Friday. Maharaj has suffered a groin injury.
Bjorn Fortuin, the 30-year-old left-arm spinner who last played a T20I in September 2024, has been named as his replacement.
South Africa won the rain-shortened T20I in Cardiff by 14 runs (DLS Method). The next two games are set to be played in Manchester and Nottingham.
