HONG KONG -- - The Associated Press has withdrawn its story about LeBron James writing an op-ed for Chinese state media. One of James' representatives says he made the comments attributed to him during media sessions but that he did not write the op-ed.
The original story quoted James as saying: "It's super humbling for me to be able to come here, so far away from home, and get the reception and the love, I just wanted to pour it back to the community and to this country," and Xinhua, the official news agency, for the quote.
The Associated Press removed this story due to incorrectly attributing how the information was written.
