Samay Raina's "India's Got Latent" Makes a Quiet Return to YouTube After Controversy
After a four-month hiatus, comedian Samay Raina's popular YouTube talent show, "India's Got Latent," has made a comeback on a new clips channel. This return follows a major controversy involving YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, which led to the original channel removing all content and facing legal action.
The Controversy That Took the Show Offline
Earlier in 2025, "India's Got Latent" was embroiled in controversy after Ranveer Allahbadia allegedly made an inappropriate comment to a contestant. The backlash was immediate, and FIRs were reportedly filed against Ranveer, as well as co-panelists Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani.
Samay responded by removing all episodes from his official channel, expressing exhaustion and regret. "Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle," he stated. "My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time.”
A Quiet Comeback With Loyal Support
The show's revival on a separate platform, "India's Got Latent Clips," has surprised many online. The channel features over 500 re-uploaded videos, including both public and previously members-only content. Fans have celebrated the return, with comments sections filled with messages like "Finallyyyyyyyy… comeback ho hi gaya Latent ka" and "Best comeback everrr.”
While the revival is low-key, it shows that the show’s core community has remained loyal.
What’s Next for Samay Raina?
While "India's Got Latent" is finding its place back on YouTube, Samay Raina is currently on an international stand-up tour across Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The tour began on June 5 and will conclude in Sydney on July 20.
