Priyanka Chopra Reveals Daughter Malti Marie's Love for K-Pop and a Hilarious John Cena Mishap
Priyanka Chopra is preparing for the release of her upcoming film, 'Heads Of State', co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba. The actress recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon's 'The Tonight Show', where she discussed her film and her current life.
She shared that her daughter, Malti Marie, is now in school and has a busier schedule than her own. Chopra also mentioned filming a project in India, while her family remained in New York due to Nick Jonas's Broadway commitments.
Priyanka described Malti as the "light of their lives" and a little comedian with a taste for good music. During a recent trip to Disney World, Malti sported her Moana dress all day, highlighting her fondness for Moana 2.
However, Malti's musical interests extend beyond Disney. Priyanka revealed that her daughter is a fan of K-pop, specifically the song "APT." She even sang a few lines on the show, explaining that it is Malti's "morning anthem, every single day."
When Jimmy Fallon inquired if Malti listens to the Jonas Brothers, Priyanka laughed and said, "I don’t think she recognizes them yet. But she does call them the Doughnut Brothers," which caused laughter in the studio.
Fallon joked, "You need to trademark that right now. I’d totally buy that merch. Doughnut Brothers dolls? Move over, Labubu."
Switching gears to 'Heads Of State', Priyanka recounted an amusing incident involving John Cena. She admitted to being nervous around Cena, who she described as the "opposite of what I expected." To break the ice, she made a joke referencing Cena's iconic "You can’t see me" meme.
Priyanka said, "The first scene we were doing together, I just went for it—I did the pose in front of him like ‘I don’t see you.’"
Idris Elba quickly intervened, signaling her to stop, and later explained that Cena doesn't appreciate people doing the pose to his face. "I was like, now I’ve offended him," Priyanka confessed.
